Work Relief Administration Press Conferences

The following are a selection of thirty-two Press Conferences from the holdings at the National Archives, the various New Deal Work Relief agencies—FERA, CWA, WPA. This is not a complete set, and although it covers a fairly broad periods of time—from February 1934 to February 1942—there are some noticeable gaps, especially concerning those conferences held in 1936. Most of these are interviews with Harry Hopkins, although there are four conferences with Col. Harrington and six with Howard Hunter.
