Word has just come from the Civil Liberties Union that the La Follette subcommittee on violations of civil liberties is in danger of ceasing its investigations and must do so if it does not receive another appropriation before the impending adjournment of Congress. It has done its magnificent work on a budget of only $55,000 and now asks a modest $50,000 to carry on. If I had my way it would get $500,000 tomorrow.  >>more...>>
