The "Blue Eagle" was the emblem of the National Recovery Administration (NRA). Founded in 1933, the NRA worked with businesses to establish fair practice and trade codes and to regulate prices. It also brought about the 40-hour work week, the minimum wage, and labor's right to bargain collectively.
The Supreme Court ruled the NRA unconstitutional in 1935, but many of its early achievements lived on.
