I had a silver tapestry Woven in gold and blue; Tender and soft was the wondrous cloth; Soft as a love that is new.
And magic tales were told in the threads And mystic songs were sung in the threads Of the tapestry soft and new.
But the tales that were in the silver told. And the mystic songs of amber and gold, And a love in the threads Were lost in the shreds When the tapestry tore in two . . .
