Description : General view of a drafting-room of the REA Aerial Mapping Project at Howard University. In addition to being skilled draftsmen, these workers must know geography, mathematics, the history of townships and rudiments of aerial photography. As these maps are completed the employees of the REA Legal Engineering and Operations Division will use the maps to keep track of right-of-way easements and of construction progress. These maps will locate each power line financed by the REA at a glance and when completed will provide information that otherwise could be obtained only by pouring over a mass of tables, reports and memoranda.
