Description : The Concord Coach of the Wells Fargo Express with its matched team of grays, representing the deluxe type of transportation on the plains before the coming of the railroads. This was the old type of stage swung on leather springs. The whip is an exact replica of an early stage coach whip in the museum. The hair trunk, fastened by straps and buckles which actually operate, was made by shaving down hair of rabbit skin and dying it the proper color. Scale 1½ inch to the foot.
