Woodward visits a WPA art project in the District of Columbia. This project is sponsored by the Community Center Department of Public Welfare and Council of Social Agencies. By November 1, 1936, Registrations had reached a total of approximately 2,865 pupil-lessons. Some of the workers on the WPA Art Project have been engaged in painting murals for the Children's Tuberculosis Hospital. Other WPA artists are working on dioramas and preparing museum material at the Smithsonian and National Park Museums.
