Description : The President's Art Week Exhibit. President Roosevelt's interest in National Art Week was reflected in the following objects selected from many states for the White House exhibition. Viewed from left to right: Bronze - "The Tired Shopper" by Dorothea Greenbaum, Washington D.C.; Mule Head Bookends by Gary Owle, Cherokee Reservation, North Carolina, (The artist is a Cherokee Indian lad who learned sculpture in the NYA Craft Project); Ceramic Jar - (gray) by Laura Anderson, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; Ceramic Bowl - (Tan with gold stripe design) by San Juan, N.M.; Oxen and sled with logs - from the League of New Hampshire Arts and Crafts, Concord, N.H.; Oil painting "Singin Cowboys" by Manual Fromberg, Iowa; Dry point and aquatint "Penitent Fires" by Gene Kloss, N.M.; Tempera "Valley" by Richard Jansen, Wisconsin; Wailulu Angora Wool Knitted Booties, Manchester, Vermont.
