Hitt has been almost completely disabled. His talents for producing graceful designs which he calls "Shadow Pictures" attracted attention and as a WPA Artist he has produced hundreds of silhouettes which have been placed in the Atlanta Museum of Art and in scores of libraries throughout the state.
