Description : Washington, D.C. - Frederick Douglass Memorial Home - A Historical Survey employee of the WPA views a pre-Civil War relic at the Frederick Douglass Home Washington, D.C. Miss Jeanette Carter, one of the four project employee is pictured with the American Flag, recorded as having been used by John Brown at Harper's Ferry in 1859. This flag is among many other Historical relics at the Memorial home of the abolitionist receiving the attention of the WPA workers who are recording the type, value and historical significance of the objects on display.
