Description : 10. Double check! The Card Files are microfilmed so that Uncle Sam will always have a duplicate record readily accessible. Dr. Timothy F. Murphy, Chief of the Division of Information and Records, holds a strip of the Microfilm. All the data on John Smith's entire family is contained in one of the tiny black spaces. He holds in his hand the complete records of more than 50 persons. The Census Records which are filed in 600 steel cases can be contained in ten cases of microfilm. Census Bureau - Washington, D.C.
