Question One: The library murals are called "The Evolution of Western Civilization." What did the artist think were important things to include about this subject? In your opinion, what did the artist leave out that was just as important?

  1. The poor people and the young people because there were just as many of them as there were of events. I would have drawn some teens working in factories and stores.

  2. The artist thought important things to include about this subject was the evolution of work. I think he should have paint in the wars of the countries.

  3. They left out the modern technology of today, which is important.

  4. He thought it was important to put what happened in the past.

  5. They tried to include depictions of slavery and tried to show how Christopher Columbus was not the first person to discover America. Some things the artist left out was things that could happen .

  6. He thought it was important to include the civilization change from bat to good and why.

  7. He thought it was important to include the change of history and how it improved in each civilization.

  9. I think the artist thought the most important things to include were the developments and advancements of mankind. I think the artist didn't leave out anything.

  10. I don't think the artist left out any thing.

  11. I think they left out the time where there was war against different countries in the past, like WW 1&2.

  12. The beginning of the world. Nothing.

  13. The artist left out the god the people had worshipped and how they came to be.

  14. The artist showed a pattern from B.C. to A.D. by following different types of development and eras. The artist left out why these happened.

  15. The development of civilization, was probaly something that the artist thought was important. The artist I think, left out on how the people first got there.

  17. I don't think the artist left out anything while he was painting this mural. He had the weapons they use how did thing and what type of clothing they had.

  20. The way people were treated and no leader. Cloths that they should wear and food that they eat.

  21. Dinosaurs, because they only show people, they didn't show living thing that was may be back then

  22. Some times when I go in the library I look at them, and it look nice.Well no they don't look confusing because it is expressing itself by letting people know what was going on back then, and how they look. People who are maybe just learning.

  23. Civil right to see if they had freedom or other civil right they didn't have history.

  24. More living things like animals.

  26. The artists left out the early human evolution and how hominids look like human people. He left out dinosaurs roaming the earth thousands of years ago.

  27. I think that the artist include everything he could have included about the old days.

  28. I think that they left out when men started to think about life and how to feel about humanity.

  29. He thought tool, technology, agriculture, creation, and wars were the important things. He left out most of the reality and periods (date).

  30. I believe that the artist left out the reality of history. Like the one with the slaves, they show them not getting harmed like it tells us in history. Also, the different cultures, they were a big part to developing history.

  31. For the artist technology was important and important events. I think the artist should have include the development of the human mind.

  32. I think he mostly showed us how back then people counted on each other for almost everything and how they work hard to what they had to do.

  40. In my opinion, the artist leave out one of the most important thing, that are the homeless.

  41. I think in own opinion I would like to say that the murals represent. The origin of and the history of civilization. The Artists intention was probably to make people remember how men has evolved.

I think the important things to include are the slaves, the only thing he left out was who was the owner of the slave. - I think the artist thought that things that happen in those days, it should be important to use now. That's why the artist put those pictures up there. - The artist felt that he should include what persons did to survive in ancient times. What the man and women roles were. He also included their dress code. I don't feel he left any thing out he just went straight to the point. - The artist was probably thinking about how the old days were like or he/ she is showing what's happening in the country or city he is living in. The artist probably wanted to show students how it was like in the old times. - I think he left out the clothing on the males be some of the females had all their clothing on.

  43. The artist had painted "the evolution of the western civilization" and showed how people lived and cope within their society, but he did not include the western hemisphere or the Northern or southern parts.

  44. It's like a place where people work to make their community better so the man are doing all the writing and the building from my opinion and I think and sometimes I think that they are slaves. I don't think the artist left anything out of the murals.

  45. The artist thought that by putting pictures of people fighting would explain the war. I think that he left out a few details such as weapons and why they fought.

  46. I think the important thing that the artist did in the drawing were excellent design on the structure of how we at each step at a time came into form of our civilization at this present time. In my point of view the artist did not leave out any thing.

  47. The artist included the tools and the way people changed throughout the advanced civilizations .I think they did pretty well for the limit of space they had. They couldn't have include every little detail but they did good. They left out more of the nationalities they should've add people moving to the great civilizations of America.

  48. The artist should show how the Earth was created and what tools did the early civilizations used .The mural in the library showed the Bubonic plaque, Jesus Christ and the Roman enforcer. It also showed the printing press that developed new ideas. Then technology came for trading. The result was slavery, labor, and discovery.

  49. Well, I think the artist just tried to get the main idea of what he was trying to say.

  51. The murals were difficult to understand without prior background information

  52. They wanted to show how civilization had changed over the years. I think they should add more detail of history in the murals

  54. The things that the artist think was important included that early civilization was not easy. They became more educated, more advanced and more civilized as the years increased. I think the artist left out dates, and need more details about other civilizations
