Milwaukee WPA Sewing Project

The sewing room that Mrs. Roosevelt referred to in her My Day column on 11/12/36 was part of Milwaukee's WPA Sewing Project. The girls in this photo are modeling clothes from that project. They are holding 11" counterpane dolls that were created by the Milwaukee WPA Handicraft Project.
