ER Holding Dolls

On November 12, 1936, Eleanor Roosevelt visited the Milwaukee Handicraft Project. She wrote about the experience in her syndicated column My Day.

She was much taken with the Project's dolls. Officials presented her with two dolls when she couldn't decide which she liked most. "I simply love dolls," she said.
