Home Photo Gallery Classroom Documents Honorable Sir: I have your letter of September 24. Unfortunately, the letter reached me a few days ago, since it was addressed to me at my old address in Chicago. Regarding your desire to have my opinion on the topics you mentioned, may I say that I am strongly in favor of the new social security legislation. May God bless you and your co-workers in putting this program into effect. Since I am a new man in this city, I cannot say much as to the conditions here, for I would have to study them a little more. You will probably be able to get an idea of the conditions here from other pastors who have been on this field for a longer period of time. As far as I have been able to observe, there is one social hindrance here. Women are working, their husbands remain at home, and the children do not receive proper care. It seems to me that throughout the nation there is more work for women and less for men, and the American home eventually will suffer. Respectfully submitted,
James F. Prigodich
