DOMINICK GADAMOWITZ JOINS THE C.C.C.

In 1986 Robert Gadamowitz interviewed his grandfather, Dominick Gadamowitz, for an oral history project developed by his social studies teacher, Alan Singer. Dominick Gadamowitz had served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935. The CCC put young men to work in the nation's forests and state parks.

Robert Gadamowitz conducted this interview while he was a student at Franklin K. Lane High School in Brooklyn, New York. He currently teaches mathematics at Thomas Edison High School in Queens. Alan Singer is a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Hofstra University.
