CCC members fought forest fires, built roads and fire breaks, planted trees, removed diseased trees, built dams to slow soil erosion, and fought insect infestations that threatened timber and crops. The Cricket Control project that Mr. Gadamowitz worked on was similar to the Wyoming Works Progress Administration project depicted in the photograph below.
