DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WELFARE DUCHESHE, UTAH March 9th, 1937
Mr. Glen D. Reese Dar Mr. Reese: During the relief program, Duchesne County has sent more than its proportionate number of boys to CCC Camps. As a whole, boys of an age eligible for enlistment, have been very anxious to enlist, and this has been true of boys outside relief families as well as those eligible from a relief status. The opportunity for educational work has been very much appreciated, and we know of many boys who have taken advantage of this training. Boys released from the Bridgeland Camp in particular, where they have had experience in construction work, are in demand by the National Reemployment Service for placements in private industry. Some of the boys who received this training were considered among he best workers at Moon Lake during last summer, as bulldozer operators, caterpillar operators, and cement finishers. It is our opinion that the accomplishments of the CCC Camps are very important and beneficial, and that this work should be continued and liberalized if possible, to include boys from near relief families. Very truly yours,
